HERE’S MY CUP
In the ancient Jewish ceremony known as The Banquet of Wine, the bridegroom offers a cup
of wine to his betrothed. In the act of taking the cup and drinking from it, the bride accepts the proposal of marriage. Jesus invites us to draw close to receive the love that He offers us; His blood poured out for us on the Cross. His life blood is what is contained in the Cup that He offers us to drink. He is saying to us, “Will you have Me?”
