"Coming Up from the Wilderness" was a unique gathering that took place May 20th- 23rd 2000. (Click here for photos)
In May 2000, one hundred and fifty people came together at a small hotel in Oakville, Ontario, with one desire in mind; to worship Jesus with all of our hearts, and to place our focus entirely on Him. We met three times a day, and allowed God to lead us however He wanted. Ruth Fazal gathered her worship team, and called together a wonderful team of musicians. At Ruth's invitation, Graham Cooke travelled from Southampton, UK, and Gary Wiens from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, USA, both to bring teaching and a prophetic voice to the event. Everything was recorded, and six CDs was the result.
"The gathering was the most amazing time with Jesus. I believe we really did pour out our hearts in abandoned worship, and the focus was on Him alone. Three and a half days were spent loving Him, in song, poetry, teaching, prophetic ministry and dance. We just poured out and poured out, but seemed to be unable to outgive God, who continually poured into us, over and over. He is such an extravagant Lover, and we were so blessed! -Ruth Fazal.
