RUTH FAZAL 'GOLDEN OLDIES' Jesus is Here was one of the first songs that Ruth wrote soon after emigrating from the UK to Canada, and then sang and played with her guitar. The words simply remind us that we can reach out and touch Jesus, because He is here with us. We don't need to call Him to come near, because "as we draw near to Him, He draws near to us." Enjoy the time in His presence as you listen to this song.

The songs that will appear on
this page go back a lot of years!! I first arrived in Canada in the mid -seventies. These were the days of LPs and the time when nothing was digital, and the recording engineer had to literally 'cut' the tape to make an edit, and then piece it back together. Everything took longer, but the sound was a beautifully warm analogue sound, which I have continued to use for most of my worship CDs. Also, these were the days when I sang with my guitar rather than with keyboard. It was later that I decided that I was more versatile on the keyboard than on the guitar, and made the switch. The first song I want to share with you is one of the very first that I wrote during this period of time. I travelled all over the UK in the early eighties with Colin Urquart and his team from Kingdom Faith. This was Colin's favourite song, and so I ended up singing it many times! 'Feeling the Spirit of the Lord' is a simple invitation to come into the presence of the Lord, and realise that He is there, simply because He said that He would be!! The simplicity of God's promises is often the very thing that causes us not to step into them. We tend to think to ourselves 'Oh, it can't be that simple!' I hope that you enjoy this early recording, and that you will come into His presence in a deep way.

I Give You My Life
was written back in the 80's for a young
man named Robin. Robin was the brother of a dear
friend of mine. Robin had leukemia, and was
dying in the hospital. One morning, while at
home practising my violin, the Lord gave
me this song, and told me that I was to go and
sing it to Robin in the hospital. I did not know
Robin very well, but his family had been
fervently praying that he would receive Jesus
into his heart. I went to the hospital and sang
the song. Then I left. I chose to put this song up on the website today, because Robin's father died this week. He had lived his life to the full, serving the Lord in every way that he could. As you listen to this song, give thanks for your life in Jesus. His gift of life to us is more than amazing!
