The cry for the presence of Jesus in our lives is a cry that continues to grow as we feel His touch, and see how beautiful He is.  There is none like Him. I CRY OUT.  When will I see Him? When will His presence be with us forever? These are the cries of the heart that is hungry for God. There is an urgent need in these days to “Get oil, and get it now!”  MARANATHA!  The Lord sees the longing in our hearts, and asks us if we really want to know the depth of His love.  WILL YOU SURRENDER? The knowledge of God’s love for me is staggering. It is beyond my comprehension, and yet, as I touch it just a little, I am persuaded that His love surpasses all other loves.  NO ONE LOVES ME LIKE YOU LOVE ME.  God’s goodness is not dependant on my circumstances, and when I find myself in the darkness, this is really an invitation to go deep into His heart, if I can only see it.  IN THE DARKEST PLACE.  The darkness seems endless. It feels as though there is no way out. Can I still declare His goodness in this place?  HOW LONG? Those around us may accuse God of forsaking us. Can I still see that this is the most wonderful invitation to know His goodness and His faithfulness?  ALL AROUND SAY YOU ARE GONE.  The promise of joy becomes a reality, when we realize that even in the darkest times, when we cannot seem to find Jesus, joy will come to us, as sure as the morning follows the night.  THERE IS JOY

The heart’s cry of longing for the kiss of God is the greatest place of freedom;

nothing else matters but to have Him, and to be in His presence.

The kiss of His Word upon our lives is the most precious gift to the lovesick worshiper

When God comes to us with a sharp sword of healing in His hand,

it can often seem as though he intends to hurt us, because the pain is so intense.

He wants us to know that His intention towards us is our wholeness, and that He is making us a ready partner for Jesus.

But to heal

Psalm 139 is surely  one of  the greatest prayers  of confidence found in the scriptures.

There really is no place that we can go where God will not be with us.

There is nothing that He does not know about us, and yet He loves us with a steadfast love.

Such grace!

  IN THE DARKEST PLACE

If we can see it, the hard times in our lives are God’s invitation into a deeper place of trust

and intimacy with Jesus than we can ever know when everything is going smoothly.

When it seems as though all light has gone

It’s Your mercy that endures

The cry of pain and the longing for resolution are all part of being in the darkness.

and declare that truth  in the midst of our circumstances.

that He is good, and His steadfast love endures for ever.

There is joy when we feel His presence, and there is joy when we do not, because we know deep in our hearts the goodness of God.
