“In the beginning God created
the heavens and the earthCREATION by Ruth Fazal is a musical composition that brings to life the Biblical account of Creation, in the Book of Genesis. The piece is structured around the six days of creation, culminating in a seventh day that celebrates divine completion and rest.
Recorded in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2024, the score features a baritone soloist, symphony orchestra and choir. Each day of “Creation” combines the Hebrew text with elements of Jewish musical tradition, together with Fazal’s musical interpretation of each day. To enable the listener to enter into the music as a meditation, Ruth asked artist and good friend, Kevin Moffat to create a series of abstract paintings on the theme of creation to be shown with the music.

We have been working over the past year to bring the art alive through advanced technology, to cause the paintings to move and develop into even further creations. Quite extraordinary!
CREATION -THE FILM is a truly immersive experience of aural and visual beauty, which allows the Biblical text to enter the heart and the mind in a living way.
